I live in Narragansett and have been caring for seniors for over 15 years.. I have experience with dementia and Alzheimer's and am able to adapt myself to the needs of those I'm caring for. I would describe my personality as cheerful, caring and compassionate .. I love caring for seniors because it brings me such joy to know that I am making a difference in the life of someone who needs assistance while relieving their family from some of the burden of dealing with a loved one who needs care. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to share my joy and compassion with others. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my 14-year-old son and my dogs.. I hired Jodi to support my mother after a successful surgery with an unexpected secondary illness. I was able to care for her through the worst of it, but I needed to go back (out of state) to my family. While she had a visiting nurse, physical therapist and occupational therapist, I needed someone to keep tabs on her compliance with medications and exercise due to memory issues. Jodi was a fantastic help for both me and my mother, giving me regular updates and making suggestions. As Mom improved, Jodi took her shopping, to appointments, and eventually encouraged her to do light housekeeping and walking her dog. Eventually, when my mother was fully recovered we were able to end Jodi’s support. We were so grateful for Jodi’s kindness, attention to detail, gentle nudging and companionship. We wouldn’t hesitate to call her again if my mother needs support.
