I am currently a graduate student working toward my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Prior to returning to school, and for my last semester of undergraduate study, I worked as a Behavioral Therapist in the East Bay providing 1:1 behavioral intervention programs using ABA to children on the Autistic spectrum. While I am no longer doing this work, I enjoyed building relationships and helping the kids I worked with learn skills (both basic information and social interaction) and see the progress, big or small, over the time I spent with them. I primarily worked with children in two age groups 2 to 3 1/2 and 6 to 12, but have babysat and conducted talk therapy (in other settings through my graduate program) with children and adolescents of other ages as well.
