For 2yrs I was a teacher in a middle school working with amazing special needs children. Jo babysat for us two times this past week during our vacation to Hawaii, and we are so grateful for her! She helped us out at the beach and engaged my two kids (almost 4 year old and 6 year old) by playing in the sand and helping the older one go into the water. She's very warm and good at connecting with children. She then cared for them for 8 hours while we went to an event, including getting them to bed at our rental apartment. She came prepared with crafts and discussed activities with me ahead of time, fed them dinner, and got them bathed and into bed. Since we were traveling, I know it took extra effort to get the kids to calm down and asleep in a new place with a babysitter. She was very organized and punctual, and left the place tidier than when she arrived. The kids loved her, and we would definitely hire her again if she's still available next time we visit!
