About Jocelyn

Experience: 1 yr

I am a fun and energetic mother to two boys. I have a 5-year-old and an almost 2-year-old. I would love to provide a stable, fun and safe environment for your little one. I would love to work as a nanny and bring my kids along as well. Why pick someone who has to bring their kids? Well, as a mother I already know what it takes to care for children, I have the patience and experience necessary. Also, bringing my own kids along would provide the opportunity for your child to practice important skills like sharing, communication, and they might also make some new friends in the process. I also have experience working in a daycare facility.

Josie is great with children. I have seen her wonderfully balance watching her two kids (age 5 and age 1) while watching my own two boys (age 2 and 6 months) at the same time. One thing I found comforting about Josie before hiring her is that before she became a mother, she had professional experience working at a childcare facility or daycare and was trained in all the necessary know hows of child care and infant needs. I hired Josie as a freshly postpartum mother needing help catching up on sleep and needing time to take care of myself and work on other projects outside of motherhood too. Josie has a car and came to my home to watch my kids, was quick and responsive in her communication via text and cell, and my children always seemed happy in her care. Her oldest son interacts so well with other kids. He is kind, playful, and nurturing. Often seen carrying around his little brother and making sure he feels loved and included. It is a very sweet thing to see. Her youngest is cheerful, calm, and very sweet as well. All three of them are so good with kids and have an especially soft spot when it comes to loving and caring for babies. I have seen her kids interact with a wide range of ages and interact with both boys and girls and it has always gone over well. Josie prides herself on being on time, she balances childcare with other necessary activities like tidying up and food preparations well, and is not only good at watching children, but genuinely takes joy in it. You will not have to wonder if Josie loves your kids once she watches and gets to know them. She loves very freely and is a very sweet caregiver. The only downside about Josie is that once you no longer need her assistance, you’ll feel like you’re losing a friend because she has genuinely become such a great friend to our family, all three of them have! I wondered at first if it would be too difficult for her to watch her own kids while watching my own. I quickly learned that my children had an easier time transitioning to another caregiver while there were other kids present. With the way all the children played together, it honestly seemed to make it easier and more seamless instead of more difficult because my children had instant built in playmates. If there is any hesitancy in hiring a mom with kids I’ll say this: sure, you could hire a high school age or college age woman to watch your kids just fine without bringing their own. But who better understands how to love your children better than someone who has become a mother herself and has learned to care for her own infants and children firsthand? I feel that someone who understands a mother’s love is the perfect type of person to love your little ones the way you do. That is exactly why we worked with Josie. We knew she understood what it took to really care for a child because she’s done it first hand with her own kids. The three of them honestly make a great little team and I’d highly recommend her. You can have peace of mind that your children will be in good hands when they are watched over by Josie.
