Helped out with Special Olympics throughout my 4 years in college. Worked at an adolescent psych facility in Douglasville, GA called Youth Villages Inner Harbour Campus. In college, I also volunteered at various Rec Centers in inclusion programs as well therapeutic recreation programs. I have mainly worked with kids/adults with autism, down's syndrome, intellectually disabled, anger issues, eating disorders, depression, bipolar, sexual problem behaviors, various degrees of schizophrenia, pervasive developmental disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, etc. I have worked with 3 families through Care. com whose children are on the spectrum. The jobs varied from teaching social skills and going on community outings to being a playmate.
