My joy is caregiving in the special needs field, particularly autism spectrum. I have worked with non verbal, apraxia, aphasia, sensitivities, allergies, behavior disorders, add/ adhd, dementia/alzheimers, ptsd. I am intimately familiar with the need for a peaceful stable and calm environment, while at the same time encouraging learning through modeling and regulation. I graduated from UCI and am a certified nursing assistant with many years working with children, teens, adults and seniors. I find it very rewarding to see and be a part of that growth. As a mom who has raised a special needs child who is now currently successfully in college, I understand the patience and experience it takes to see every child through their journey of struggles and triumphs.
