About Joan

I am a mother of four adult children with extensive experience in childcare, family support, and social services. I worked as an Assistant Executive Director at the Boys and Girls Club for 10 years and as a social worker with Community Action for 18 years, supporting low-income families. I have also cared for my aging parents, which strengthened my patience and compassion. I enjoy working with children because of their energy, creativity, and growth. I love helping with homework, building good habits, and creating a safe, positive environment. I began working with children in high school at a nursery and continued through my career. I am energetic, kind, and understanding. My top skills are communication, patience, and adaptability. In this role, I aim to provide reliable, attentive care while building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families!
