My experience ranges from companionship to skilled nursing duties. Even though I do not have certification in the various areas, I am a retired teacher who has spent many, many years in the caregiving field. My philosophy??? More than just a job. My last position included, recruiting, training and supervising a team to provide 24/7 care for a 76 yr old quadriplegic. I did bowel care, tube feeding, medication administration, exercise, moving, transporting, showering and dressing him. This enabled him to stay in is own home rather than a facility. My goal was to provide the best possible care so he could have the highest quality of life possible.
