I was a stay at home mom for about five years. Prior to that, I worked as a store manager for Target. We raised our son and daughter here in Folsom. Both of my kids played on competitive sport teams while growing up and now have just graduated college. We love to play family games, but because of their busy schedules, we only get to play them on holidays and special occasions. We love animals and have three dogs and two cats. I decided I wanted / needed a part time job. I love kids so I thought, why not help parents out who need a dependable person who cares about children! I know how difficult it is juggling a family and a career, but I was fortunate to have great people in our lives to help us with the responsibilities. Now I want to be able to do the same for other families.

Joann has been the nanny for our 3 year old son for over one year now.  She is wonderful!  Our son warmed up to her right away.  She brought some much needed structure to his daily routine, helped him establish a consistent napping schedule, assisted with potty training, and took him to fun outings at the park.  She is very reliable and always shows up on time.  We fully trust and adore her and feel as though she is part of our family now.  We highly recommend her!

She has succeeded beyond expectations helping my boys embrace and succeed with distance learning.  She's created structure and motivation, as she's applied patience, loving persistence and understanding in the journey with my boys.  JoAnn's a wonderful person, tutor-nanny.

Joann is a rock-star! She helped us for a year caring for our two little girls (1 and 4 years old) while helping us juggle pick-ups/drop-offs, home cooked meals, all while keeping the girls happy and healthy. She went above and beyond talking to teachers so all of us could reinforce consistent messages to the girls. We couldn't recommend her highly enough. She is kind, thoughtful, thorough, caring and generally a joy to have in the house.

 Joann  was willing to come and assist our family with a  last moment request for a helper for the next day! What was really wonderful about her was she was willing to come and expand herself into a roll she hadn't done before, which was to help with a little sweetie with down syndrome!  She asked very excellent questions, and played all day with our little guy, always engaging and positive! I really appreciate her stepping in and finding her inner resources of love and kindness to help out our family and to find out a person with a developmental disability isn't so different from someone typical after all, just different! Joann has been a wonderful help to our family over the last three years. she has saved the day over and over by showing up for last min requests.  she has taken care of my older son since he was 2 years old and my baby only weeks after he was born. she is caring, responsible, and so kind to the kids. 

Joann has been our after school nanny since August of 2017. She is amazing! Absolutely dependable, punctual, but most importantly she truly cares for my kids and they adore her! She has be an invaluable asset to our family. As a mom who works full-time outside of the home, managing the kids activities can get hectic. Joann is excellent at staying on top of who needs to be where, when, wearing what, etc. She assist with homework and prepares snacks. I can always depend on her to keep me informed about what is happening with the kids.

I can without reservation give her my highest recommendation.


Joann was our nanny for 7 months. She assisted my mom with my toddler twins.  While Joann was fully capable of caring for my kids on her own, my mom didn't want to give up her role as our childcare provider.
Joann was punctual, easy to get along with, and respectful of my instructions. She was friendly and outgoing and my kids warmed to her immediately. Joann was endlessly patient and caring with my toddlers. She was creative and very hands-on. She gave the kids her full attention, whether it was playing on the floor, trailing them through a play structure, or getting dirty at parent participation preschool.  Joann always cleaned up dishes, put away toys, and wiped noses, etc. without being asked. Friends who observed her with my kids always had positive things to say about her. My kids are headed to preschool so we are no longer requiring Joann's help but she will be GREATLY missed. We would love to hire her again in the future if our schedules align!



What can I say, she is truly a Angel, not only is she a amazing caregiver she also truly loves your child. I believe she goes above and beyond to make sure your baby get nothing but the best care. If it wasn't for our financial situation I would never let Joann go, I haven't only gained a great sitter but a awesome friend and loving 2nd mother to my daughter.

Joann has been a true angel in my son's life for the past year. In hiring her I found someone who could basically be me while I was at work. 
The first thing you notice is her cheerful smile that warms your heart and makes it easy for your child to trust her. 
Right from the start we were able to find similarities in our parenting styles. Joann has a very grounded common sense and experience that help her understand your child's needs. She is flexible and receptive to suggestions. She helped my son establish healthy sleep and eating routines; involved him in crafts, swimming, trips to the park and other age-appropriate activities. He truly loves spending time with her.
Joann volunteered to cook, clean and do laundry. I commend her organizational and interpersonal skills; she was in charge of accompanying my son to dental appointments, sports practice, is punctual and proactive. I feel very much at ease when I go to work.
At this point Joann has became a true member of my little family and I am confident that she will become indispensable for you as well.
