About Joanne

Hi there! For most of my life, I have been surrounded with children: my 4 daughters, my grandchildren, and my students. I love the energy, curiosity, and fun that we share. Whether reading a quiet book, exploring math or philosophy, going to the park, or having a dance party, I enjoy spending my time with children. I stopped classroom teaching during the pandemic and have been a private tutor for a homeschooling family of 6, teaching kindergarten through 9th grade. Through my years of parenting and teaching, I have had experience with most situations that can arise, knowing that all situations require understanding, love, and calmness.
