I am a professional cat and small dog pet sitter. For the last several years (since March 2014), I have been a dog walker, pet sitter/house sitter for cats and dogs, administering oral medications, and providing animal companionship. I love what I do and enjoy every minute of it! 

I have a calm, non-overreacting personality when reacting to an animal's behavior/temperament, I reward when necessary and respond adequately to situations appropriately and thoughtfully. I am very cautious and don't assume another animal's behavior, so I will always protect your pet to the best of my ability by not allowing others to let their dogs engage in play, people playing, or holding your animals. 

After each visit, I will text a picture of your pet/pets to you and a summarized update on what we did during the visit and how your pet is doing.

I hired Joanne to look after my two cats while I was out of town. She’s done that several times now. I always get pictures of my kitties (assuming they come out), and come home to happy cats and clean litter. My cats seem really comfortable with her, which makes me happy. And she is a nice person, just generally speaking. 

Joanne has been my cat sitter for the last few years, and she's the best! My cats love her, even my one guy who is afraid of everything and doesn't like to eat. When she comes over, he goes right to her, and she gets him to eat every time. Amazing. She is very conscientious, is super reliable, and is a great communicator. She sends detailed texts and cute photos after every visit, which is very comforting; I always feel like I know exactly how things are going at home when I'm away. I tend to worry about them when I travel (they're older, they don't like being alone, etc.) but I don't worry when I know Joanne is on the scene. She takes such good care of them, and they enjoy her company. She's also incredibly flexible and accommodating and goes above and beyond to try to meet her clients' needs. My travel plans often get changed at the last minute, and Joanne always tries to accommodate schedule changes so that she can continue to help. I've had a lot of cat sitters over the years, and Joanne is the best! She really "gets" cats. I highly recommend her.

Joanne has been a phenomenal caregiver for my cat Gemma for over 3 years. She cares for Gemma like she is her own. I feel peace and comfort when I am away knowing my cat is in great hands! She always gives the best updates and includes pictures and precious collages that make my day. She has really helped me during tough times with family out of town and work trips. She has been so flexible and accommodating in so many ways that she always has helped make it work. She is such a hard worker, detail oriented, trustworthy, great communicator and truly cares about families and their pets. My cat adores her as do I. She is truly the best caregiver I have ever had. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for some care for their animals! 

We are so lucky to have found Joanne. I was anxious about having a new person in our home and from the moment I met her, she just put me at ease. She took the time to come by before and carefully took notes on my cat's Benji's needs during her visits. While we were away, she sent me the cutest photos/videos and summaries of her time with my cat. We now feel so much better about going out of town knowing our little baby is in good hands!

This was our first time using Care.com and was hesitant in leaving our new fur baby with a "stranger".  The minute Joanne walked in, we knew she was the right person! She is very professional, dependable, experienced, responsive, and most of all, she cares for our fur baby (5 month Multipoo) like he was her own. We are so thankful to have found her. She is very detailed in her updates about how her time with him was, and takes the time to ensure even the smallest details are attended to. I would highly recommend Joanne!

We met Joanne 6 years ago when we moved to California from out of state. We were looking for a dog sitter at that time for our one dog and a new friend recommended her to us. 

Since then we adopted another dog and now have a two year old son.  Joanne watches all three of our boys and helps us out all the time! Joanne is kind, patient and trustworthy.
