About Joanna

Nurturing young minds is a passion of mine. I have four (almost all grown) children of my own, and homeschooled all of them for a total of eight years. The last 2 1/2 years I have been a substitute teacher as well as an art teacher for a small charter school in Bend and Redmond. I have found myself in an unexpected season of life and I'm looking for opportunities to generate income while using my gifts. I offer a patient, creative, and friendly approach to childcare. I have a college degree, and my coursework includes early child development. I am also trained in First Aid and CPR. I enjoy engaging children with board games, puzzles, and artistic activities. I am comfortable enforcing household rules and always prioritize open communication with parents, following their preferred method. I am happy to help with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, and travel. I find joy in watching children learn and grow, and I'd love the opportunity to contribute to your child's development.
