About Joanna

Hello! My name is Jo and I'm 28. I moved to SE Portland a couple years back with my wife and love it here! I completed 2 years at UO, studying Political Science. For the last few years, I've been working in coffee and love being in the industry - but I'm ready for a change. I enjoy gardening and baking in my free time! My Pet care experience consists of working at a Doggy Daycare, in home pet sitting, dog walking, and volunteering at shelters. I have experience with puppies/puppy training and I am comfortable with reactive dogs. I also have Childcare experience, I cared for two children (one boy, one girl) for 5 years (ages 4 until they were 9). I learned different communication styles to best suit their developmental needs. Since then, I've done occasional babysitting. I like to do arts and crafts, play outside, and I can also help with light housekeeping and preparing meals. I'm open to part or full time work. I look forward to hearing from you! :)

We always call Jo when we need somebody to care for our fur-babies! She is trustworthy, communicative, and so comforting to our pup and kitties when we go out of town. They absolutely adore getting to play with and hang out with Jo! Our travel anxieties are also always at ease when she’s taking care of our babies. We get pictures and updates on our pets frequently so that we know they’re doing okay. My fiancé is a vet tech, and some of our cats have chronic health issues, so we’re pretty picky about who we trust with our critters. I can’t recommend Jo enough!
