About Joanna

Hello, I have worked as an RBT for children with autism. I love people but especially love caring for kids and for the elderly. I work hard, maximize time and act efficiently in everything I do, yet also I am very personable and love to connect with others. I'd describe my personality as playful, intentional, and kind. I like working with kids because they are a sweet investment. They are vulnerable and dependent, needing direction and lots of care. It is sweet to get to invest in them, and provide the care that they so dearly need. I started working with kids right after college. I grew up with a large family and learned many caretaking skills in that context. Working with autistic children for a year really was a delight and demonstrated to me how valuable learning is for children. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I read, run, play games, and cook new and delicious things. I love spending time outside, especially in the summer and spring.
