About Joan

I am a Mom and experienced classroom teacher (over 25 years) offering caregiving to all ages of children and others needing assistance. My graduate degree in Education provides a strong foundation in the development, interests and understanding of children. I am fun, active, dedicated and very creative with the activities and experiences I am able to bring into a variety of situations. With my expertise I am comfortable managing and engaging children of all ages and within a variety of environments. I am happy to adhere to family routines and household rules and will communicate per your preferred method. I have past certifications in CPR and First Aid and will be updating those soon. I have my own transportation, am ok with most pets and maintain a flexible schedule to be available to meet your needs. My own children are presently in college and are well adapted adults. Children bring me immense joy- I am ready to engage with your family and my Gainesville community.
