Hi there! I have a BA in psychology with an emphasis in child development. I did my internship at a daycare center, have worked in several different day care centers in the past and volunteered at a school/hospital for special needs kids. I have been a CASA volunteer (advocate for foster kids), raised four kids and as you can see from my background, absolutely love kids. I have been with my previous family, nanny to 3 energetic boys, for over 4 years, I occasionally watch an autistic young woman, and had the privilege of taking care of a wonderful 86-year-old woman. I also take care of animals when people are away, have had many pets of my own. I am energetic, yet calm. Knowledgeable yet always approach things with an open mind. I am open to all age groups, have a flexible schedule and would be honored to watch your children and pets, be your personal aide, help you organize, run errands, . pretty much anything you require.

Joan is an amazing nanny! She is very dependable and dedicated. I am a single mom of three boys. Joan cared for my boys full time from 2020 through 2025 and quickly became part of our family. From covid remote learning, caring for the boys when they were sick, pediatrician visits, running the boys to activities, coordinating holiday school parties, creative projects and games, making meals and helping with homework these are just a few things that Joan provided on a routine basis and she did it with confidence and ease. In the 5 years that Joan was with us full time she would always arrive early and flex her schedule to stay late if we needed her. She cared for my boys as if they were her own and she also became my biggest cheerleader as a single mom. Joan would always have an encouraging word of support whenever the boys or I needed it. The boys are older and no longer need full time care but Joan is still part of our lives and family. Joan’s compassionate care, dedication, creativity and skills are a rarity to find, and we will always be thankful that we found each other and the role she played in my boys’ formative years!
