I have worked with children from infants to 18 yrs. old for over 30 years now. I have a BA in child development. I've taught at private schools, public schools as well as being a nanny over the last two years. I also have extensive experience working with children that have special needs. I have many references, from both adults and children I've taught in the past, if you would like them. I am happy, easy going, and funny person. Many people who know me would describe me as having an intuition with the children/adults I have worked with. I connect easily with most children/adults and have been honored to work with them for so many years. I'm an extremely upbeat person with a positive outlook on life. I excel at behavior management, and I am able to recognize what most children need; both in emotional well-being and academic learning. I have a strong work ethic, am always punctual, and can be very flexible with any families needs.

Joalyce or "Jo Jo" as our family fondly came to call her, was an above and beyond caregiver for our two boys. We do not have family locally, and Jo took on caring for our children like family. She became part of our family and I am extremely grateful for the time we had with her. Jo is very reliable; for the two years she was with us she was on time every single day (she was actually always 10 minutes early). She arrived every day with an agenda for our pre-school aged son, complete with age appropriate activities and creative art projects. It was Jo who taught our son to use scissors, count to ten, and say his ABC's. Jo is incredibly talented and highly dependable. She is warm, caring, and genuine. She was fully present when caring for our children and I trusted her to take our boys to the park and even to borrow our car to drive to the library for story time. I cannot say enough good things about her - I highly recommend her. Whichever family she works with next will be lucky to have her.
