About Jizelle

Hi! I'm Jizelle, a Posse Scholar and Honors student at GWU. I major in International Affairs and Psychology and have a passion for helping students find their voice. This past semester, I balanced an internship at the National Council of Resistance of Iran with tutoring at 826DC, where I helped underrepresented D. C. students (ages 5-15) master writing and grammar. While I love English Language Arts, I also specialize in making math and algebra less intimidating by sharing the specific study habits that helped me succeed. Outside of academics, I am very active! I love baking, swimming, and crafting, but my real specialty is skating. I'm always happy to teach kids a few tricks on their skates or a skateboard. I'm looking forward to bringing my energy and support to your family!
