I reached out to Daphny after seeing glowing reviews on her profile, but my experience was disappointing. During our initial conversation, she appeared professional yet unprepared, which was confusing. She was eating during the call, which made her speech unclear and suggested a lack of sincerity. Her response to my question about cancellation fees was abrupt and unconvincing—she seemed to have not considered the policy before and then stated she would charge 100% for cancellations. While I understand a cancellation fee on short notice, this seemed excessive.

Post-call, things worsened. Daphny was supposed to provide a meeting date but had extremely limited availability. She mentioned she was flying out the next day, but she could have offered a video call. She stated she couldn’t start before mid-August due to family commitments, which was understandable. However, she could only meet in person after mid-August, requiring me to decide based on a phone conversation alone. As a parent, I need to ensure a good fit by meeting in person before entrusting someone with my child. It was odd that she overlooked this as part of the interview process.

When I sought clarification, her responses were vague and inconsistent. She confirmed my interpretation but insisted it was "up to me"—which was obvious, as I’m her potential employer. Her use of a “lol” smilie felt unprofessional and mocking.

Overall, her communication was unprofessional, unprepared, one-sided (she was unwilling to accommodate any of my timing requests), and confusing. I’m baffled by the rave reviews given my experience.

Jingjie, also known as Daphne, cared for my daughter when we transitioned her to daycare when she was around 5 to 6 months old. My husband and I were lucky to find Daphne. Before Daphne came to help, she spent time with me to learn about our daughter's daily schedule and temperament. Daphne also helped us immensely to sleep train my daughter, which I thought was impossible then. Although hiring was short because my daughter later enrolled in daycare, working with Daphne was a great experience. She is attentive and pays attention to the baby's needs and responses. Her interactions with my daughter were just so sweet. Now, once in a while, we still ask Daphne for her availability to help out. It was a blessing that we got her help. 

Daphny has been watching my daughter since she was 11 mo old and it's been 4 months now. She is great at communicating with us and helping our daughter with milestones. She has a lot of experience with sleep training and gives great advice to help us at home as well. Daphny is flexible and willing to work with us if any changes come up. You can tell she loves kids and is very reliable!

Jingjie was wonderful with our 2 and 7 year old kids. They were looking forward to see Jingjie and really enjoyed playing with her. I would definitely recommend Jingjie to everyone looking for caring, responsible, fun and trustworthy babysitter.

Jingjie is great with our kid, my daughter had so much fun playing with her. Jingjie also gave us a lot of advice on how to take care of the kid, she is dependable, loving and responsible. We highly recommend her.

Jingjie has watched our kid multiple times since 15 months of age. She is attentive and great at communicating any observations she notices. She has never cancelled and is always on time. Would highly recommend.

Our daughter loves Jingjie and we've had a great experience with her. She is patient and has helped my daughter be active, social and learn important skills. Jingjie is punctual, dependable and has been very accommodating when we've needed extra help over the weekend.

I have known Jingjie for more than 3 years and have play dates with the kids she has been taking care of for couple times. It was amazing to watch how the kids engaged and enjoyed spending time with her. I can see how happy the kids are and how their parents appreciate her through different occasions. I would definitely recommend her!

We love Jingjie. She has been watching our daughter for almost two years now. Our daughter is now a little over two years old. She's also been teaching our daughter Mandarin. Takes her to the park everyday. Jingjie also watches our daughter in the evenings when we have date nights.

We love Jingjie! Our daughter (now 1 year old) and son (4 years old) are always so happy to see her. On days she is not with us our son keeps asking when she'll come back. Jingjie is warm, kind and caring, and also smart and knows how to handle tantrums and other difficult situations. The kids have a lot of fun with her and they are always very well taken care of.
