I grew up loving on my cousin, learning how amazing individuals with special needs are. He was my first taste of what I later learned was my passion- caring for others who needed a little something extra. After years of volunteer work with children of all ages and abilities, I graduated valedictorian and launched into a career as a Paraeducator, forgoing college for the opportunity to work fully hands on with the individuals I found brought me pure joy. Over the past 12 years, I have worked off and on (due to moving with my husband's job) with children and adults with a variety of physical and mental disorders. I am always anxious to learn more and to find new ways of making life better for those in my care. I currently have six beautiful children of my own, so am looking to give part-time care in my home. The individual joining us would need to be gentle, able to be comfortable with babies. While in our home, this person would be a part of our family, loved and cared for as my own.
