About Jillian

I have always been close to my grandparents and I enjoy spending time with seniors. When my grandfather passed away in June 2012 from prostate cancer, it was very hard on the family. Before he passed, our family was fortunate to have a kind and gentle hospice nurse to help us take care of him as the cancer progressed. In the summer of 2014, I attended a seven-week program to become a certified nursing assistant. I can assist with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, clothing, feeding and incontinence care. I have my own double-hosed stethoscope and blood pressure cuff. During my clinical hours, I spent most of my time caring for Alzheimer's residents and stroke victim residents. It is my passion to assist seniors with daily living activities while promoting their independence. My goal is to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. I will be attending the University of San Fransisco, Pleasanton campus in the Fall as a Health Services major. The program is designed for full time working students. Majority of the classes will take place on weeknights.
