About Jillian

Hi! My name is Jillian and I am looking forward to helping kids explore their creativity while learning from it! I have always been an avid reader and writer, passions I hope to spark in as many young minds as I can. Math is the most common subject I tutor in, as many people struggle with it. My goal is to show kids how rewarding it can be to not only solve a math equation, but to understand how it applies to the world around them as well. I believe in interactive, hands on learning methods, which allow kids to engage in what they are learning while enjoying the process. My goal is for students to memorize the information given while understanding the why's and how's. I spent four summers working at Camp Invention, where I helped students aged 5-13 explore science through interactive workshops. Children are the future, and with knowledge comes opportunity.
