About Jillian

I believe every child learns best when they feel supported, curious, and connected to the world around them. In my twenties, I worked as a nanny in Washington, DC, caring for children of all ages and tutoring elementary and middle schoolers as they completed their homework. I tailor my approach to how each child learns, and I hold a graduate degree in ecological design. I have a green thumb and a deep love of nature. In DC, I also worked after hours at a food bank teaching children from low-income families to grow vegetables and learn where their food comes from. I'm also an avid birdwatcher, and I'll encourage outdoor play and hands-on learning through nature walks, gardening, and bird spotting. I'm taking a break from my office job to rest and recharge, and I'm excited to spend my days outdoors with kids again. I celebrate small wins, give parents regular updates, and look forward to getting to know your family.
