About Jewel

I started working with kids when I was a teenager acting as the neighborhood babysitter which grew into my first job. I worked in the daycare center at Lifetime fitness for all of high school and some of college where I built a list of families that I cared for. This turned into some part-time nanny positions. I also volunteered with jumpstart early reading program for underserved pre-k students in college. After graduation, I spent a year and a half working as a teachers assistant in a daycare. In my spare time, I like to read, knit and spend time outdoors. I'm very family oriented so I try to make it to anything going on for them as well when able. One thing you should know about me is that I am a clinical psychology graduate student looking for part-time opportunities. I love kids and to giggle and be silly with them within reason. Respect, veggies and communication come first :) My skills include making up enrichment activities, excursions and tutoring.
