About Jess

My experience encompasses several different roles working with children from preschool age up to adolescence/young adulthood. I have worked as a teacher's aid at a Montessori school in Missouri, and have substituted at the Early Learning Center here in Elkins. I have provided childcare for friends. I completed a practicum in undergrad working with homeless transitional age youth. A few years ago I was hired at the local library to start a program for high school students which I ran for about 18 months. I have always had a passion for working with children and their parents. I have extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and their treatments, and a degree in social work. I have facilitated many groups for mental health consumers. I am very confident in my interpersonal skills with children and adults.
