About Jessica

Hello! My name is Jess. I have my professional educators license for English and writing at a secondary level. Currently I am a cadre substitute teacher at an elementary school with experience teaching all subjects to primary and intermediate aged students as well. I also have experience working with students receiving different levels of special education intervention and support. I have been a babysitter/nanny for over 20 years (specializing in the 0-5 crowd) and I'm a single parent to an 9-year-old. In and out of the classroom I work with children with an array of learning strengths, needs, and challenges. I am also neurodivergent with CPTSD so SEL and a trauma informed approach to curriculum and instruction is a major component of my teaching philosophy.
