About Jessica

As a certified Spanish educator, ACTFL Advanced Mid Spanish speaker, and ESL certified teacher, I developed my Spanish through formal study and time abroad, where I grew in fluency while experiencing the culture. I am interested in Spanish or ESL tutoring part-time. Learning a language is more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar--it opens doors to relationships, opportunities, travel, and a deeper understanding of the world. I love helping students develop language fluency and cultural competency, both valuable skills. I create an engaging, supportive environment by listening to students and adapting my teaching to their needs, interests, and learning style. As students take steps towards fluency, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for language learning. I believe open parent communication and at-home support are vital proponents of student success. My goal is for every session to be productive while helping students discover the joy of language learning!
