About Jessica

Hi, my name is Jessie! I'm a UM alum and am starting the UM MSW program this fall with a concentration in Child and Family welfare. I've been caregiving for 10+ years (ages newborn-13 years) and have lots of experience with all aspects of childhood development! As a caregiver I am very gentle and patient while still maintaining firm boundaries. I incorporate different learning approaches, like the Montessori and Waldorf method, to encourage independence and incorporate teaching moments into everyday life. I am also a huge advocate for play and dedicate lots of time for active, attentive, and imaginative play. I am free this summer for occasional babysitting gigs on Fridays and weekends- I would love to help care for your kids! I love spending time outside and organizing fun activities during my time with kids. In the past I've organized lots of nature color walks, scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, and crafts!
