About Jessica

Violin instruction grade school through middle school. I'd describe my personality as kind, creative, ambitious. I like tutoring because it's fascinating to bring the best out of someone, and to see how far they come. I'm looking for a job that takes advantage of my passion for teaching. I get the most out of watching my students thrive and succeed. I started tutoring when I was in College at Purdue. I taught private violin lessons to elementary and middle school students. I tutored students for their college communications and speech classes. Recently I've tutored special needs in math, English and science. In my spare time, I like to read, cross-stitch and paint. I love hanging out with my kids, fish, camp and hike with my boys, play games at home, sit around the fire, and take in a ball game. One thing you should know about me is I teach with patience, use games to engage when necessary, and know when pause for confirmation of clarity.
