About Jessica

I started working with children as a horseback riding instructor at age 16. I taught lessons and ran summer camps for kids aged 3 - 13. While in college, I worked at a nature-based preschool with a variety of ages, from 1-year-olds to school age kids. I was able to become certified as an assistant preschool teacher, as well. Post college, I nannied 5 sweet girls (for two summers in a row) ages 3-9. We took day trips, did art projects, and filled our days with imaginative play for their various ages! Finally, my first job out of college was as an English teacher in France. I planned and led lessons (all in French) for kids from kindergarten to fifth grade. All of that said, I love working with kids! I currently work in fundraising at Lincoln Park Zoo, and I miss the educational / child care part of my background. I'm open to both recurring and one time opportunities, and have time on the weekends and after 5 p.m. on the weekdays. Looking forward to talking with you more! :)
