I had the profound experience of helping both of my parents pass with dignity. I realize how crucial companionship is at end of life. I understand the emotional and physical demands of caregiving, and how tiring it can be. The caregivers that came to give me a break were angels. I offer compassionate senior support to give families a break. I can bring puzzles, games or crafts. I love engaging in conversations about history. I'm looking for a job that allows me flexibility to care for my middle school age child. I also want to be an example to him of caring for my community. I started caring for seniors when my parents became ill with cancers, eventually into hospice, and I now care part time for a family member with Alzheimer's In my spare time, I like to be with family, meals on wheels delivery, make art, walk in nature My skills include compassion and inquisitiveness. Also, I am a mother of a small child and sometimes senior care involves pulling from the parenting playbook.
