About Jessica

Hi there! My name is Jessica and I have 7 years of classroom experience working with kids in Pre-K through grade 5. I was a part-time classroom assistant and tutor for four of those years, then spent three years as a full-time teacher in bilingual programs in Houston, Texas and Washington, DC. I am enrolled in a graduate program for speech-language pathology, with the goal of supporting kids with speech and communication disorders and their families. While in school, I am available to work with your children as a tutor, babysitter, or nanny. I am warm, and energetic and enjoy playing games, excursions, and reading with children. I provide tutoring for children in Pre-K through 5th grade in reading, math, and Spanish. As a tutor, I strive to build a trusting relationship with the student and their family, seeking to understand each child's individual strengths and areas of need. I can provide learning materials and conduct sessions in the home or in a public place.
