I have experience working with children with developmental delays in my preschool classrooms. The parents were always thankful that I was open to help them along with their therapist. I had children in my classroom with Autism spectrum and different aspects of delay. I also have experience with my cousin who is now 15 years old and has cerebral palsy. I help her with her feeding tube and have witnessed several seizures. I remain calm and know to make sure she is not in danger of hurting herself during a violent episode. It is because of my cousin that I would like to help other families with care. My Aunt goes through a lot and I know how difficult it can become; to have those extra set of hands can go a long way.
