About Jessica

Although I am new to Care. com, I've been working with children for over a decade. My experience includes: a K-6 tutor, an all-ages camp counselor, and a preschool and pre-kindergarten teacher. I was employed as a teacher by the City of Portland for 8+ years. I left that position to pursue my masters degree. I'd describe my personality as kind, outgoing, and creative. I like working with kids because they give me a witty, colorful, and positive outlook on life. In my spare time, I like to do arts, crafts, and anything creative! One thing you should know about me is that I always lead with kindness. My skills include providing children with engaging activities, navigating/supporting social and emotional development, and providing a safe, nurturing environment.
