About Jessica

As someone who has always loved reading and writing, I am eager to share my knowledge and joy in it with others. Both are difficult things-- easy to grow frustrated and bored with-- but with time and patience, anyone can harness the skills necessary to be a wonderful reader and writer. I worked for a year tutoring and consulting college-level writers to not only improve their individual works but help them develop the necessary reading proficiency and executive functioning skills to become better writers. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in English and have volunteer experience working on writing and reading projects with 6th-8th graders in at-risk schools.
