About Jessica

My life, academic, and clinical experiences have deepened my knowledge, skills, and ability to provide compassionate, individualized care for older adults. Through coursework, research, and hands-on practice, I have gained a greater understanding of the physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges that often accompany aging, as well as the importance of preserving dignity, autonomy, and quality of life. There is so much meaning in being able to support individuals across the lifespan--nurturing growth, well-being, and joy, while also empowering their sense of purpose and connection. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Duke University. Throughout my graduate studies, I have experienced various opportunities to learn from older adults undergoing brain changes and learned how to truly serve them lovingly.
