About Jessica

I work at a daycare center, Educational Play-care, a position I've held for a year and a half. I work primarily with the school age group in the afternoons, which consists of kindergarten-sixth graders. I plan activities, monitor and assist with homework, mediate social disagreements and emotional disturbances; administer first-aid medications if necessary and clean/sanitize daily. While my students are at school during the day, I float where I'm needed, being blessed to be able to work with all age groups covering staff breaks, assisting with administrative tasks and curriculum planning/organization. I hope to bring the professionalism and creativity of a daycare environment to the close-knit, more intimate environment of the home. I want to work more closely with the children in my care, and understand how to guide their development in the context of their home environment in the most beneficial way for the children.
