I started engaging with pets at a young age (e. g. hamsters; frogs, lizards) and dogs (including my own) in my early adolescent years. During my college years, I started caring for cats and continued to sit dogs as well. I've cared for a spectrum of pets - from those with boundless energy to others reaching old age and needing supportive care. When caring for a pet, I provide, first and foremost, its basic needs including preparing and giving it fresh food and water, letting it outside or taking it for a walk, and ensuring it is cleaned up after (e. g. litter box). I spend time with pets, such as keeping them company or playing with them while providing compassion and patience, especially to those that may struggle with anxiety or illness. I enjoy sending owners pictures of their pets throughout the day, and make the extra effort to attend to special requirements a pet may need, such as emphasizing training.
