Originally from the state of Maine. Semi-retired living here in Florida. As a senior I can relate to older ones. Having the first hand experience of being a care giver to my wife after her Hemorrhagic Brain stroke for 2 years, followed immediately by stage 4 Malignant Melanoma until death 10 months later taught me much about true care giving. USAF 6 years, Veterinary Technician/ Environmental Health, I have a Behavioral Health Professional Certification (BHP), CNA training (no certification), Certified Hospice Volunteer, Home Health Aide Training with the required sub Certifications in Dementia, HIPPA etc.. Working with special needs clients such can be very rewarding Their gratitude and no nonsense approach to life is refreshing. Non Medical Companion care is preferred... but based on a case by case basis some hands on care may be fine. Love to make personal connection Via... guitar/singing, reading, conversation.
