About Jerne

Hi families! I'm Jerne, and childcare has always been something I genuinely enjoy & not just a job. I started out as an infant teacher, then moved into a classroom with 1- and 2-year-olds, which definitely taught me patience, creativity, and how to function with a little bit of chaos! I loved working with children so much that I eventually became a 6th-grade science teacher, where I taught for two years. Now that I've completed my master's degree, I'd love to get back into childcare simply because I miss it and truly enjoy being around kids. I'm nurturing, dependable, playful, and very hands-on. I'm the babysitter who will actually get on the floor and play, read the same book five times, do crafts, go outside, have a dance party, or sneak a little science experiment into our day! I'm comfortable with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children and can help with routines, meals, homework, learning activities, and bedtime.
