About Jennifer

I have worked as a lead teacher in a preschool for the past few years. I love working with children and am a friendly, warm and caring person. I have also worked at a school with special needs children as a 1:1 educator. I have been a counselor for a sleep away camp as well as a summer camp counselor and a volunteer for the Special Olympics for the past 15 years. I enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle. I just like to laugh and enjoy life! I am currently employed as a before and after school care provider with a local elementary school. I have my 90-hour early child care certificate which includes training in materials and methods in early childhood education, and growth and development in early childhood education. I also have my 90-hour school age child care certificate which includes MSDE core of knowledge in school age curriculum and communication skills in school age child care. I have multiple continuing education certifications including; nutrition for young children, partnership with parents, first steps in childcare, sun safety, transportation safety and many many more. I was 2002 high school graduate, attended Carroll Community College with a major in early childhood education and am now pursuing a B. A in English Education with a minor in Psychology at The University of Maryland University College.
