I started working with kids when I was a teenager and had to help with my younger sisters. I became an aunt at the age of 17 and have been very hands-on with my nieces and nephews. My sisters lived with me when they were babies, and I would take shifts so they could rest and take care of themselves. To date, I still keep my nieces regularly ranging from 10 months to my eldest, who just turned 18. During covid I lost my job and decided to nanny for a mom of 2 girls ages 5 and 8. I was not only their nanny but also their teacher as the schools were shut down. I had this job for over a year and loved it. I have 12 ECE credits at Solano College because I thought I wanted to be a teacher as I love working with children, however teachers are underpaid and in today's world it's harder to follow passion over money.

During 2020, We hired Jen during the pandemic when our children went on virtual learning. I at the time had a kindergartener and 4th grader that I needed care for as my job was reopened. She was amazing working with my girls and spending one on one time with my very distracted kindergartener who was really struggling with the virtual learning. She managed to keep them caught up on homework and kept them engaged in learning during the 3 hours of school and was very accommodating to my work schedule. She would often have them fed and ready for bed upon pick up to make my evenings much smoother. Fast forward to 2023, I had another baby and reached out to Jennifer to help with care until we established her into a daycare. She was great with caring for our then 4 month old for a month of drop in care. Jennifer has a very big heart and treated each of my girls like family. We would 10/10 recommend her for any care needs.
