Making a difference in someone's life is important to me. I am a retired federal, law-enforcement officer and an attorney. I presently teach at a local university. I'm interested in picking up some caregiver work primarily because of my experience in the last 2. 5 years with my own mother who had a stroke. I bring both knowledge and a compassionate approach to senior care. I'm skilled at adapting to changing routines, de-escalating stressful situations, and handling confusion with patience. I offer transportation, run errands, perform light housekeeping, and prepare meals. Regular updates via text or phone calls ensure families are informed, and I always respect your preferred communication style. Understanding your loved one's preferences and history is important to me. I became a caregiver because of my experience with my own mother. I'm excited about the prospect of assisting others in living as independently and with as much personal dignity as possible.
