About Jennifer

I have experience as a caregiver for a family of 3 children, ages newborn, 2, and 4 years old from 2018 to 2021. This included several 8 to 10 hour days a week and some weekends. I was able to give care for 3 other families during this time. I also have 2 step-children and I am their mother figure in their life. In 2021, I began my job at Hillside Children's Center and worked for 2 1/2 years as a Youth Peer Advocate. I am now certified and have my professional credential, mentoring youth ages 7 to 20 living with mental health conditions. While working at Hillside, I worked with youth on skill building, engagement, empowerment, and provided referrals to other treatments necessary. I have experience working with families to provide family and youth driven care. I am trained in CPR, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and Youth Mental Health First Aid. I also worked full time in summers as a professional cleaner when I was 16-18 years old. I am currently working part time as a hospice aide.
