I am a married mother of three boys (ages 9, 14, and a stepson age 15). My 9-year-old son has developmental delays due to a neurological disorder. My stepson has high functioning autism, ADHD, and a mood disorder, and lived with us until recently. In addition to my experience raising my own children, I also have an extensive history of working with children with special needs at a developmental day center in NC. I worked there for 7 1/2 years in administration. I coordinated therapy services for children birth to 5 years old. I also attended IFSP and IEP meetings as an advocate. I interfaced with the therapists and early intervention service providers on a daily basis. My parents were foster parents to 80+ children as I grew up. Many of those children were born with various delays. I work full time M-F 8-5. I am looking for supplemental income and a fulfilling job that will allow me to continue to be involved in my own children's daily lives as well.
