About Jennifer

As an older sibling of four other children, I was always the second "mommy". However, my official career in childcare began almost 20 years ago when I worked with preschool children the entire time I was in undergraduate school. My first degree is in Early Childhood Education. I took this degree and became a lead teacher, a nanny, and babysitter. It was during a fine arts program I developed that I realized I needed to teach children the arts. I went back to school for a Fine Arts degree and then recently received my Master's in Art Education. It is during my research in graduate school when I discovered how to combine kinesthetic movement (from my experience in dance) with art curriculum. It allowed for children to gain self-esteem as well as allow for inclusion. It is my goal to keep working with children to continue to nurture them, help them to realize their full potential developmentally, as well as continue to learn from them. Children are so inspirational to me as a caregiver, artist, and creative individual. My life would not be what I have grown to know and adore it to be without children.
