After my boyfriends Mom passed away in August 2022, I took care of his Dad, who was wheelchair bound, until he passed away in January 2025. I prepped meals for him biweekly, did his laundry, took him to doctor appointments (I'm great at taking detailed notes) and and grocery shopping. Sometimes, we would just get in the car and go for rides. I also cleaned his apartment biweekly but would sweep, mop, and vacuum twice a week. He loved clean and shiny floors. A lot of times, I would just go over and sit to keep him company. I have found that I miss doing that type of work, even though it never felt like it, and I would love to find someone I could help out again.
