About Jennifer

Hello! I am a special education paraeducator in the Iowa City School District! I have worked with kids from ages 3-12 in my 4 years of childcare experience and have loved every chance I got to meet all my new students. I'm new to Iowa City but I love to explore new hiking trails and checking out all the local shops the city has to offer. In my free time I also practice learning ASL. I know a bit, but I'd like to expand on that to help accommodate children who utilize it. However, my biggest passion is working with children. Especially children with special needs, they are such incredible children who need extra support, with that they can achieve so much! I have a big heart, lots of patience and have loved every one of my students as if they were my own.
