About Jennie

I am an experienced teacher with over 10 years experience in schools. I've taught 1st-8th grade and have experience in general education and special education. My specialities are supporting students with specific deficit or focus areas and helping them to meet or exceed their goals in those areas. I am comfortable with working with more than one child at a time and am able to differentiate to the needs of the child(ren). I prefer to tutor either in the family's home, online, or in a public setting (such as a library). I prefer meeting in person to ensure the child fully understands the concepts and that we get a chance to work hands-on and utilize multiple means of representation for the material to ensure mastery. I love to make learning fun. I often debrief with parents after a session, but can provide written debrief if that is preferred.
