Experience: 3 yrs
I am a 32-year-old cat lady who just moved to the Fort Mill area to be closer to my husband's family. Since completing a 16-hour continuing education class, I am ready to gain more experience to eventually be a full-time newborn care specialist. I now have a 3-year-old nephew and 1-year-old niece (in my profile pics) I adore; I spent many nights caring for them in their first 8 weeks of life. I love routine, I keep detailed records, I'm well acquainted with laundry/carseats/diapers/bottle washing & sanitizing appliances, and I LOVE giving parents opportunities for a good night's rest. I have experience helping with postpartum anxiety and am happy to support breastfeeding journeys and/or bottle/formula feeding. I have no issues or allergies with any animals. I'm especially interested in working with multiples (twins & triplets). I am extremely capable of working with older babies and toddlers, but my long-term goal is to focus on newborns.
I cannot recommend Jenna highly enough. Jenna became an important part of our family while caring for our children, and she had a remarkable impact on our home. As a pediatric nurse who has worked with many caregivers, I can confidently say that Jenna is truly exceptional with children. Jenna cared for our older son from age one through three-and-a-half, and she also helped care for our newborn during those first three months. From the start, she brought warmth, patience, professionalism, and a sense of calm into our home. She is very trustworthy, reliable, and flexible. We always knew our children were safe and loved in her hands. Jenna consistently went above and beyond, showing impressive multitasking and composure while caring for both our toddler and our newborn at the same time. Furthermore, she capably managed our toddler alongside another child, handling the challenges of multi-child care with ease. What stood out most was the incredible relationship she built with our older son. She was always engaged with him and created fun, educational activities each day, including hiking, swimming, crafts, and library trips. She encouraged his curiosity and independence. I believe a large part of his confidence and strong communication skills came from Jenna’s influence during those years. Jenna also played an important role in teaching life skills, setting boundaries, and guiding potty training with patience. With our newborn, she was equally wonderful. She is very comfortable with infants and has a naturally calming presence. She handled feeding, soothing, and general care with confidence and genuine affection. Beyond being an exceptional caregiver, Jenna became part of our family. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her, and I recommend her without any hesitation.
